AHHHH!!! We are heating and cooling our back yards because our ducts and HVAC cabinets are not sealed and Entergy is telling us to change our light bulbs?
Let's do the math:
8 bulbs cost $15 and will save me $296 over 7 years ($42.28/yr) (Sylvania 60 watt/8 bulb packaging)
Sealing my HVAC duct work cost between $500 - $1500/prof and could save me $4200 over 7 years ($600/yr) (US Dept. Energy 25% energy loss on HVAC duct instalation/avg $200 mnth bill) if utility rates do not increase.
